Best single player game ever?

Well, according to G4TV. This is one of the many incoming reviews for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. I shouldn’t have watched this, now I’m getting even more impatient!

So far metacritic (official scoring site) has this game at 98%, which is on par with GTA IV and a step below only one game (Zelda). We’ll see if it maintains that spot when more critics submit their reviews. I so can’t wait for this game! ^^

Holy moly the hair

Here’s the TGS trailer for the new Japanese drama Final Fantasy game:

Not sure if you have to watch it in HD to see it but wowzers…the hair! How realistic!

Day 1 purchase. (and no I’m not buying it for the hair)

Random bits

Some pics taken this week using the iPhone:

The fantastic dinner Chiinz made…SO YUM!

The special edition Ugly Betty Coke bottle, appropriately named The Betty. Sissy got it from the London Fashion weekend.

Darth Vader Mighty Mugg I got for Func’s birthday present. I really like it…should’ve kept it for myself haha.

And finally, I was walking with Chris when we saw this HUGE line of people with balloons near Carnaby Street. It looked like they were lining up for some kind of cafe so we were puzzled. Turns out that the cafe is an exact replica of the cafe set from Friends. I knew it looked familiar lol…people (mostly teenage girls and old women) were going crazy in there.

That’s about it. Maybe more random stuff later. Hi Mom and Dad!

Omg Nathan’s voice!

Thank god I’m gonna be playing the English version of Uncharted.

Damn you Japanese dubs…damn you! Kusooo!

Jamming to Taylor Swift

Not many people will admit that they “jam to Taylor Swift” but I just did and I’m not ashamed of it. Well, I’m also not ashamed of admitting to a lot of things…so that doesn’t say much. Anyways, I’ve only recently discovered her newest album (which is like a year old, yes I’m slow) and it’s surprisingly really good. Here’s my one of my fav tracks:

Taylor Swift – Breathe (ft. Colbie Caillat)

Other than that, I’m totally loving “Love Story” and “You belong to me”. She has a song called “Hey Stephen” as well which I cannot listen to as it has lyrics like:

Cause I can’t help it if you look like an angel
Can’t help it if I wanna kiss you in the rain so
Come feel this magic I’ve been feeling since I met you
Can’t help it if there’s no one else
Mmm, I can’t help myself

For obvious reasons…

If I were to write my own version of “Hey Stephen”, it would involve the iPhone, Xbox, PS3, Batman, korean food and Monkey Island. Actually that would be a good song. :)

Kitty got wet

I’m not gonna lie. I absolutely CANNOT wait for Uncharted 2 to come out! Yesterday, while I was playing the Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo, my character killed someone and muttered “Kitty got wet”. I totally had a fangirl moment there. Here’s a video of the Uncharted cast explaining where the phrase came from:

The game’s release date is still a month away but reviews are starting to come out. The majority of them are full scores, one magazine actually gave it a 21/20. No lie. I don’t even know how that’s logically possible. And reading all these reviews is making me more and more impatient! Ah well, at least I have the multiplayer to keep me busy…in the meantime I’m just gonna play that and chill to these beautiful Uncharted 2 OST tracks:

Sigh…I need a job.

Haha

For the past few days, I’ve been checking me email every second to see if my Uncharted 2 multiplayer code had arrived. I preordered my copy of the game from Play.com earlier this week and I still hadn’t received my code to access the multiplayer section. I was so desperate for it, I actually called up Play which drained my phone credit.

Well, my code arrived minutes ago! But instead of being absolutely elated, I’m left here laughing to myself. Why?

Because we don’t have any bloody electricity! The whole block is out and they’re not sure what’s wrong. They’re even drilling outside for some reason to check. I may be laughing now, but when I return later with still no electricity, I’m going to be very grumpy!

K, gotta go. I can’t believe I typed all this on the iPhone…

I’m smart

Went to visit Kasia and her Cookie Monster today.

Cookie Monster is still the same tiny boy as I’ve last seen him but there’s one thing different about him: he’s talking…like a lot. Gone are the days where he’ll grunt, point and take your hand when he wants something. Now I actually know what he’s saying. It’s all too cute…he’ll be walking by and saying stuff in his little voice like “I’m a superstar. I’m a superstar walking”. The little guy is a superstar.

Now that he can talk, it’s dangerous to forget that he can understand you as well. I think it becomes a habit for most parents to talk about their kids in front of them, thinking that they won’t understand what you’re saying cause they’re still young…but kids somehow pick it up. They just know. I don’t think Cookie understands what autism is but when Kasia was talking to us about it, Cookie suddenly said “I’m strange”. My heart broke into a million pieces at that moment. :( The tiny, wide-eyed 3 year old with an adorable mushroom haircut kept saying “I’m strange, I’m strange”. And of course we assured him, no you’re not strange! And to that he replied, “I’m strange but I’m smart!”.

Throughout the whole day, Cookie kept repeating the same words: “I’m smart”. Kasia told him that I thought he was cute. He didn’t seemed impressed and said “No, I’m smart”. The little dude obviously knew what was up but it was just so sad that he feels he has to justify that he’s actually smart. He’s still so small! I have no doubt in my mind that he’s going to grow up fine. His parents are great and he’s learning so much from school…he may need more help than others but that shouldn’t be a problem. Cookie, if you’re reading this you’re not strange! You’re the best little dude out there. Keep it cool. 8)

Who cares?

Everyone’s talking about the Kanye West incident at the MTV Video Awards where he interrupted Taylor Swift’s winning speech on stage and said that Beyonce should have won. Cue Taylor Swift looking like she was going to bawl. Luckily, Beyonce showed some class when she won an award by inviting Taylor Swift to finish her thank yous:

I was watching this with a huge grin forming on my face and thinking…awww that’s real nice of Beyonce. And then all of a sudden the camera focused on Lady Gaga…and the moment was totally ruined. I wasn’t even listening to Taylor Swift yapping after that. I was left thinking, who cares about Taylor Swift or Beyonce? Lady Gaga should have won every single award that night so that we can see more of her in whatever she’s wearing. I have to admit though, nothing will ever beat this outfit of hers:
